What are the language requirements for bachelor’s programmes?
Students are expected to be proficient in English and/or Dutch. The following levels of Dutch are required:
• Level 4 of the University Language Centre or Staatsexamen NT2-II: bachelor’s programmes of the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Medicine
• Level 6: all other bachelor’s programmes
• Special cases:
- International Baccalaureate: Dutch B Higher, Dutch A1, Dutch A2
- European Baccalaureate: Dutch as a first or second language

The minimum scores for the English proficiency tests are: IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 213 computer-based/ 550 paper-based/ 79-80 internet-based.
Please note that the BA Dutch Studies requires a higher score: IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 570 paper-based / 230 computer-based / 88-90 Internet-based .
